Earlier this spring (February) THE DROP played host to David Bazan and Pattern is Movement for an incredible show at Sweet Briar College. If you missed it, here’s the recap. A Big thanks goes to Music Editor Matt Benson, Dan Jones, Delorean Graham and Bethany Larsen for their hard work putting this together.
I just posted about 70 photos to Flickr to give you a ringside seat on all the action from the latest installment of THE DROP Live! at Sweet Briar College. The show itself was a great one featuring songs from all of Bazans’ work with Pedro the Lion (currently touring with Ben Gibbard) as well as from his release, “Fewer Moving Parts”. Pattern is Movement also brought the noise and the funk as they jammed through a bakers dozen of songs mostly from their critically acllaimed “Stowaway” release. Pattern will next be heading to SXSW and you should check them out at the Hometapes Showcase (Scott Solter will be with them). Details on their Mypace page. After all the Austin merriment, the gents head into the studio to begin recording album number 3.

We just inked a deal with Etix.com to carry all the ticket sales for all of our live events for the next year and the winner is clearly - You! Making sure you can get into on THE DROP Live! events is getting tougher and tougher, so with a little help from Etix, that process is now super smooth. We chose Etix because of there user friendly interface and their willingness to fit our niche.
