Let’s kick things off with the new album from Neverending White Lights. The new album, Act II: The Blood and Life Eternal, is the follow-up to 2005’s Act I: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies. The album is a collaboration between Daniel Victor and a number of other popular artists. If you are not familiar with the project then read up! The new disc drops next Tuesday, October 30th! Preview 2 new tracks at NWL’s myspace.
Check out Brand New’s unreleased track, “Fork and Knife“, right here. It’s a cool piano driven song that reminds me of Bruce Hornsby.
Lastly, some exciting Tegan and Sara news. Sara has just contributed a track to Stereogum’s R.E.M. tribute album. With a little help from Kaki King, Sara recorded her own version of “Sweetness Follows”. Also, Tegan and Sara have just released a new video for the title track, “The Con”. It could be their most ambitious video yet and is an instant favorite of mine.
