Farewell Flight On Tour

Farewell Flight

Earlier this fall, one of my favorite up-and-coming indie bands had their first full-length album for sale on iTunes. I bought it, and have been falling in love a little more every day. It’s a good thing, too: the album is no longer available, at least temporarily.

Farewell Flight, hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, recorded “Sound. Color. Motion.” in Nashville last spring, but decided to part ways with their label just prior to the album’s release. The band is shopping the album with other labels, but thanks to the curious world of digital media rights, the album was up for three weeks on iTunes under the prior label.

In the meantime, the songs are only available piecemeal on the band’s Myspace for the indefinite future.

You can, however, see them live: Farewell Flight has just launched a national tour with The Tide of Grand Rapids, Michigan. They will pass through Central Virginia on Monday, October 22, at Mezzanine Cafe, 720 Commerce St., in Lynchburg with local artists Brad Damas and Steal the Prize.
